A train viewing platform overlooks the east-west to north-south Canadian National (CN) rail road connector tracks. In May 2012, an Elgin Joliet and Eastern Railway (EJ&E) caboose number 531 was placed on a short track segment in the railfan park. The park is a few hundred feet south of the Old Plank Road Trail, just east of the Matteson, Illinois METRA station.
